Anhydrous Ammonia Gaskets

Our anhydrous ammonia ACME gaskets are designed for agricultural NH3 equipment and fit common nurse tank and transfer hose connections used during fertilizer application.

Ammonia gaskets are built to seal ammonia fittings of ACME connections to create a pressure-tight seal required for safe and compliant ammonia handling between nurse tanks, hoses, and applicators.

Over time, ammonia gaskets wear, harden, or become damaged during repeated hookups. Replacing worn gaskets helps strengthen ammonia transfer connections and protect against NH3 vapour leaks, protect the valve thread, and ensure safe connection during filling and application.

Anhydrous Ammonia ACME Gaskets for Compliant NH3 Connections

Unlike dust caps, ammonia rubber seals provide the internal sealing surface required for pressurised NH3 connections. We supply Continental NH3 replacement gaskets sized to match standard anhydrous ammonia fittings.

1-3/4 ACME Gasket - Continental 22-71-F

Used on smaller valves and applicator hose connections where a clean, reliable ammonia rubber seal is required during transfer.

2-1/4" ACME Gasket - Continental 532-2

A common nurse tank gasket size provides proper sealing during tank filling and equipment hookup.

3-1/4" ACME Gasket - Continental 540-2

Designed for larger tank valves and high-flow ammonia transfer connections.

Why Replace Anhydrous Ammonia Gaskets?

  • Prevents Vapor Leaks - Worn seals allow ammonia to escape during transfer
  • Ensures Proper Tightening - Fresh gaskets seat correctly in ACME fittings
  • Protects Valves & Threads - Reduces wear caused by over-tightening connections
  • Improves Safety - Helps maintain sealed connections during application
  • Reduces Downtime - Quick replacement keeps equipment ready in season

Regular inspection and replacement of ammonia gaskets is part of safe NH3 equipment maintenance, especially during peak fertilizer application periods.

Replacement NH3 Seals From Mid-South Ag

We supply field-proven replacement gaskets designed for repeated agricultural use. Keeping spare ACME gaskets on hand helps ensure fast repairs and reliable hookups when conditions are right for the application.

If you’re unsure which gasket size fits your valve or hose connection, our team can help you identify the correct match.

Frequently Asked Question

It seals the ACME connection between ammonia components, preventing vapor leaks during transfer or application.

Replace the gasket if it becomes cracked, flattened, hardened, or fails to seal tightly during hookup.

No, the gasket must match the ACME connection size (1-3/4", 2-1/4", or 3-1/4") for a proper seal.

A worn or missing gasket prevents the fitting from sealing, allowing vapor to escape even when fully tightened.
