Continental NH3 thread couplings are used in NH3 operations including to-and-from storage, field nurse tanks, and applicators.  Thread coupling design allows user to hand tighten, without need for tools.  The ACME nut shell is made by using lightweight aluminum casting molded around a steel insert, or with ductile iron to ensure stength & reliability.  A steel lock ring positions the nut for fast handling & the protection of the sealing surface of stem.
